Trek U Admin: User Management

Creating a new user

 

Step 1: Log in to the store’s TrekBikes.com B2B admin account. (not your personal Trek U B2B account

Step 2: Click Edit users under the store icon on the B2B homepage. 

Step 3: Click + Add new on the Users page.

Step 4: Complete the fields for your new employee. Use their personal email address and select "Trek U Employee Purchase", then click Save.

Using a personal email address ensures that if an employee moves stores, they can maintain access to their Trek U account.

 

 

Step 5: The new user verifies their account and chooses a password using the link in their email.

 

Password constraints

  • At least one capital letter
  • At least one number
  • At least eight characters
  • At least one special character (!@#$%^&*)
 

 

 

Edit and inactivate a user

Step 1: Click on the user’s name on the Users page.

Step 2: Click Edit user

 

Step 3: Update any information or permissions and or toggle the user to “Inactive”. Finally, click Save.

 

 

Moving a user to a different location

This process is identical to creating a new user, with a difference at the end.

Step 1: Log in to the new location's TrekBikes.com B2B admin account. (not your personal Trek U B2B account

Step 2: Click Edit users under the store icon on the B2B homepage. 

Step 3: Click on + Add new on the Users page.

Step 4: Complete the fields for the employee. Be sure to use the same name and email from their previous location and select “Trek U Employee Purchase”. Click Save

Step 5: You will see a pop-up stating the user can only be tied to one store at a time. Click Confirm to move the user.

The user can log in using their existing username and password and will now be listed under the new location.

Moving a user's trekbikes.com B2B location will also move their Trek U location.
