Trek U Admin: Enrolling another user in a course or curriculum

If you want to make sure your team is taking the right training at the right time, use the Enroll function. This is especially helpful for new employees who need to start with specific content.

There are two ways to enroll someone.


Option 1: Impersonate User

Use this when you need to enroll someone without them being present.

  1. Go to Admin
  2. Select the user you want to enroll
  3. Click Impersonate
  4. From their homepage, navigate to the course or curriculum
  5. Click Enroll

Once enrolled, the course will appear in their My Courses: Currently Enrolled Courses section.

Important

Any changes you make while impersonating a user, including enrollments and completions, are permanent on their account.

 

Option 2: Over-the-Shoulder Enroll

Use this when the employee is with you.

  1. Have the user log in to Trek U
  2. Direct them to the course or curriculum
  3. Have them click Enroll

The course will appear in their My Courses: Currently Enrolled Courses section.


When to Use Each Option

  • Use Impersonate if the employee is not available
  • Use Over-the-Shoulder if you are coaching them in person

Both methods achieve the same result.
