Description

The system detects that the motor in walk assist mode is not functioning properly. When the motor's output exceeds safe operational limits, the system will stop functioning and trigger an error code. This condition suggests that the motor is unable to rotate effectively, activating the system’s protection mechanism.

⚠️Triggers of Error Code

The following are possible causes of error code 83:

  • Motor overload in walk assist mode
  • Signal loss between motor and controller
  • Low battery voltage

⚠️Warning

DO NOT sit on the seat while the e-bike is in walk assist mode. Also.

DO NOT use walk assist as a throttle to start riding, as this can cause improper operation or damaged the system.

1 Verifying Walk-Assist Function Performance

Reboot the e-bike. Take the bike to a flat road and engage the walk-assist function to ensure that the system assistance power output is available. If it's not functioning or if the error persists, proceed to the next step.

2 Replace the Controller

Replace the [Controller] with a new spare, then reboot the e-bike to check if the error code still exists. If this doesn't fix the issue, proceed to the next step.
